Being ready to react

Being ready to react

The center’s mission is not simply to explain the risks, but to demonstrate how to manage them. In safe and controlled conditions, the contractors undergo training that simulates potential workplace situations. This is an important step toward fostering a conscious approach to personal safety.

At first glance, it looks like a game, but 10 minutes later the participants realize that this is reality. It is not about building muscle, but being ready to react.

Abu-Bakir Ashirov, Team Leader

The center utilizes seven fully-fledged simulators, each replicating a specific risk area on a construction site:

  • working at high altitude;
  • firefighting;
  • the activation of a safety harness when losing balance;
  • falling objects;
  • cardiopulmonary resuscitation;
  • working with electrical power.

All this is accompanied by visual and auditory feedback. The participants do not simply practice the actions – they gain a physical experience, memorize the sensations, hear the equipment’s response, see their mistakes and learn to perform the right actions.
