EuroChem constructing employee housing

Two out of the nine apartment blocks designated for EuroChem-Volgakali employees in the Vostochny neighborhood are scheduled for commissioning in May 2011, when they will welcome their first residents, the builders of the potassium fertilizer production facility located on the Gremyachinskoye potash deposit in the town of Kotelnikovo in the Volgograd region.

Each block will consist of four residential floors and an attic offering a total of 36 furnished apartment units.

The first phase of the Vostochny neighborhood development consists of nine buildings in the town of Kotelnikovo. The Company’s housing plans, representing a total area of 90 thousand square meters, include detached single units as well as low-rise apartment buildings. With the development of the Vostochny neighborhood, the Company will be able to provide housing to all eligible EuroChem-Volgakali employees as these tend to generally come from other towns and cities.

The design development currently focuses on future neighborhood utility facilities. The development also addresses the requirements of the adjacent Dubovaya Roscha (Oak Grove) neighborhood where the new town will continue its growth. The development will be complemented with a hotel, a sports complex, and a supermarket that will be built alongside the residential buildings.

As of today, two buildings have already been commissioned in Vostochny: an apartment-style dormitory housing 60 families, which started operating in early 2010 and a dormitory accommodating 200 tenants, which opened its doors prior to the New Year. Each floor has a spacious lounge, fully-equipped kitchen, and a laundry room. The rooms are fitted with air conditioning systems, refrigerators and basic furniture.
