Oleg Shiryaev to manage EuroChem Group’s international strategy

EuroChem Group President Oleg Shiryaev has completed his management of EuroChem Russia and will focus on the group’s international strategy. His focus will be on global operations, including developing of assets in South America, Europe, Central Asia and the Middle East.

He plans to fully complete the transition from management of Russian operations by the summer of 2025.

Oleg Shiryaev joined EuroChem as Head of the Mining Division in 2019. He oversaw efficiency improvement projects, including development in Kazakhstan (Karatau region).

In 2020, he became Head of the Large Capital Projects Division and was responsible for the implementation of infrastructure and production initiatives. In 2021, he was appointed Head of the Fertilizer Division, and then Chief Operating Officer of EuroChem Russia.

Since 2021, Oleg Shiryaev’s focus has shifted to the Group’s international assets: he became the director of EuroChem Antwerpen NV (Belgium), and participated in business development of operations in Brazil, Kazakhstan and Lithuania. Thus, under his leadership, the Group launched a modern plant to produce phosphate fertilizers in Brazil in 2024, and is continuing the project to build a sulfuric acid plant and a chemical complex in Kazakhstan.
