On 15 August, EuroChem and the Novomoskovskaya City Clynical Hospital celebrated the official opening a new laparoscopic surgery room. The new facility benefited from EuroChem’s support as it contributed 1.4 million roubles to the purchase of cutting-edge laparoscopic equipment from the German company MGB. Adding to the celebration, the opening coincided with EuroChem’s 10th anniversary.

The equipment system includes a high resolution LCD screen, a video camera, a halogen lamp, and an irrigator and insufflator – used to expand cavities and reduce obstruction during laparoscopic surgery.

The endoscopic system will enable the hospital to conduct minimally invasive abdominal surgery, which not only reduces pain and hemorrhaging but also provides for a shorter recovery time and better patient comfort.

This equipment donation is not the first EuroChem provides the Novomoskovskaya City Clynical Hospital. In 2010, EuroChem also funded the acquisition of a leading-edge FAZA-23 anesthesia and respiratory lung ventilator.
