We are developing the Gremyachinskoe potash deposit in the Volgograd region, Russia. Below ground, the two skip shafts have successfully been connected and the implementation of the cage shaft program continues.

The volume of ore mined at the site is sufficient for operations during the initial stage of production as set out in the Group’s plan.

Above ground the flotation plant is in commissioning mode, with the first concentrate obtained in July 2018. The total hoisting capacity of the two skip shafts is 10 million metric tons (MMT) of ore per annum. Phase 1 annual design capacity is estimated at 2.3 MMT and projected to be reached by 2025. Annual ore mining capacity will be 7.3 MMT.

The second phase assumes the availability of a third shaft and a new processing plant. Construction of the third shaft, under the protection of a freeze wall at a depth of 810m, continues. The third shaft will increase capacity for ore mining and extraction from 10 MMT up to 14.6 MMT per year.

We also opened the first granulation line at the plant at the end of 2022 with a target capacity of 0.65 MMT per year (see Annual Report 2022).
